The “Banzai Pipeline” is arguably the most famous wave in the world. I’ve heard in the past it being referred to as a “cartoon” wave because of its incredibly hollow cylindrical shape and the way it majestically stands up and pitches so close to shore.
Here’s my take on this well known and well-documented location. Tropical foliage frames an idyllic lineup. Big Pipe does its thing with a solid WNW swell. I’ve tried to capture a laid back island vibe with the gaping beast commanding centre stage. Mahalo Pipe!
