Product Description
By the late 1970s, Captain Goodvibes had escaped the pages of Tracks and found his way onto radio, film and even vinyl.
Released in 1978, Mutants of Modern Disco (Volume 1) was an eight-track 12-inch maxi-single featuring Tony Edwards’ infamous Pig of Steel in all his irreverent glory. Part spoken-word comedy, part musical experiment and entirely Goodvibes, the record became another strange chapter in the story of Australia’s most notorious surf-culture antihero.
This tee brings Tony Edwards’ original Mutants of Modern Disco artwork back from the Tracks archive—a wearable piece of Australian surfing history from an era when surf culture was rougher, stranger and considerably less respectable.
